How old do I have to be to participate in a language course?
This course is offered for adults and teenagers 16 years-old or older.
Who is the teacher?
Fr. Adam Piekarzewski, M.Div., M.Psych. – pastor of St. John’s parish. He used to work in high school in Poland as a teacher and psychologist for several years. His native language is Polish but Fr. Adam speaks also English and Italian.
Is this course really for FREE?
The course is totally FREE of charge… we only ask for a small donation ($5 or $10) every time you participate in classes to cover an ordinary expenses: utilities (electricity, water, heating), photocopies, coffee and tea table.
How long is the Polish language course 2018?
This course starts in December 2018 and ends in June 2019.
How many hours a week are used for classes?
Regularly: 1 lesson (60 min.) per week + homework. In addition we’ll have also Polish film evenings and Polish food workshops to learn how to cook traditional Polish dishes such as bigos, golabki (cabbage rolls) and pierogi – these events are optional.
When date do classes start?
Our Polish language course starts December 1, 2018 (Saturday). Classes will be held every Saturday from 5 pm. to 6 pm.
Are certificates given upon course completion?
Upon completion of the language course each student receives a certificate of participation.
How early on should I register for the course?
As soon as possible! We want to keep the group small so for this course we invite max. 15 participants.
